Blood Over

September 8, 2006

Blood over is a doujin game from 9thNight, and i think it was for sale at comiket 70, so im behind with it but meh, oh well.

Anyway, its reminiscent of Devil May Cry in the style that you fight, but not in the actual gameplay. Basically, your character wields two pistols and like can kick and shit like that. So you can do crazy stuff like shooting in opposite directions and like spin kicks and stuff like that. Also, like DMC games, when you kill an enemy they like leave behind little spirit things or some crap. Anyway, you collect them, and im not sure what you get, but its what you do.

Its actually really fun and addicting even though it consists of running right or left, jumping or ducking, and shooting or kicking, things. lol. The art is fun and stuff too, the maid is just adoooorable! Oh also, the entire story and every part with dialogue is full audio, wooooo

So, other then you running around killing skeletons and other various monsters, your cute little maid follows you around. But, while looking completely innocent, shes hiding a minigun! You can use this …uh..im not sure when, but i just randomly press the key in hopes it will work, and sometimes it does, sometimes it doesnt. I figure maybe it has to do with the spirit things you get or something, but i have no real idea. Anyway, she’s pretty crazy with that thing, and its funny to watch her when she uses it.

Yeah this has no real point. Anyway, if you can find it, if its not expensive then id pick it up. Completely Doujin games dont usually run for all that much, so if you can find it at a con or something for like $10 maybe up to $20 (maybe not though also, lol) then i’d get it just because its there.

H&C II Chapter 08

September 2, 2006

In order to sum it all up real quick so i can get up to episode 9 tonight and a bunch of other stuff squished into this weekend, ill be brief.

Right off the bat before the opening, we get a huge foreshadowing Hagu introvertedness scene, about her talking about not being able to paint again and what she would do. After the opening, she ends up getting a big huge piece of glass shattered right above her and all the chunks and pieces mess her up good. Not good as in GOOD! but good as in BAD. But during all this, it cuts once again, to the Moritas. The two interrupt the dude who took over their dads company and Kaoru explains whats going on; the two of them, and Lucas Digital Arts (who is on their side, thanks to Shinobu working with them), own basically every share of the company and are taking over. Kaoru gets pretty into it the longer they talk and ends up yelling at him, and telling him that he will never lose to Floyd Electric or the owners children or grandchildren that will subsequently come for revenge as Kaoru and Shinobu did today. Oh, also they show Mayama and Rika. Nothing important, except more omg adorableness from Rika; as usual.

When they get back to Hagu and co, we find out she has been hospitalized when Yamada comes running up to Takemoto. They end up helping clean up the blood, which i mean, thats gotta suck for both of them, and especially Takemoto. Cleaning up the blood of someone you love, i mean damn. Anyway, Hagu is fine in the way of living or dying. But she had to get a lot of stiches in her head and arm, and her arm is fucked. The nerves were cut, and some other stuff i dont remember. Basically, its like my knee, it wont be working. She realizes this when she notices it doesnt hurt at all, and then Shuu explains to her about her arm.

Then it cuts back to the Morita walking in his usual-as-of-late melancholic look, and Kaoru celebrating his victory. But after a short while, he falls to his knees and apologizes to his father for what he has done, and Morita comes over and tries to comfort him.

Basically, everythings getting fucked for everyone. Hagu’s right arm is screwed – Kaoru and Morita are well yeah – Mayama is still trying to get over having his own seperate room (two rooms, not two BEDs in ONE room, lol) – Takemoto, Shuu, and Yamada all have Hagu’s injuries to deal with – Yamada also has the mayama stuff still goin – and Takemoto and Shuu on their own probably feel like they failed to protect her or something.

Woosh.

Anyway, really good episode, this second season is definately a lot heavier then the first. There is still always atleast a little comedy and cuteness (this episode had Rika being such, and mayama vs. spanish dewd being the comedy), but overall its way more serious. Anyway, i know just about everyone is over having to see mayama and rika and stuff by now, but i want more Rika even if noone else does; she’s definately the cutest girl in the show afterall and she is fun to watch. I think my favorite things (and the ones im most interested in) going on in the show are still the Morita’s stuff, and the Mayama x Yamada x Nomiya.
